This project is an algorithm to help crack a Wordle solution. This isn't about giving you instant answers, it's meant to be a fun way to explore new word matches and possible options.
You should complete the Wordle alongside this tool, to give you results as you progress. I refer to "green", "yellow" and "grey" letters, which are simply the color of the letters in the actual Wordle.
Matches and Eliminators
To best use this tool, you need to understand the difference between Matches and Eliminators. Matches are possible words that match the combinations and data you've given. Eliminators are words that will help you use letters that you haven't used yet, or "yellow" letters which you don't have the correct position for.
The lists of Match words and Eliminator words are scored and sorted by the algorithm which puts the best words at the top. Thus the top matches are based on word score, giving you the most likely words first. The best eliminator words are sorted by those that will eliminate the most possible choices, leaving you with less matches to choose from.
Step 1
Firstly, you want to enter your first word into the actual Wordle. You can pick a word from the Matches list, the Eliminations list, or just make one up.
Once you've got your results, enter the word in the table above, and match the colours to what Wordle has shown you. Then click "Run" to see results and advice for your next move.
